Delta County is located on the northern shore of Lake Michigan and includes 2 cities and 14 unincorporated communities. Delta County has a strong manufacturing base, averaging nearly 20%. The county has 211 miles of Great Lakes shoreline, 514 miles of rivers/streams, nearly 6,000 acres of inland lakes and ponds, and nearly 310,000 acres of pubic recreation land. There are 4 championship golf courses and three 9-hole courses in the county.
