Northwoods Manufacturing is a family-owned business located in Kingsford in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula. Owner and founder Jon Pipp began his career locally by earning an engineering degree at The Milwaukee School of Engineering. Always interested in owning his own business, he took his knowledge and experience, and founded Northwoods Manufacturing. The Corporation was founded in November 1994 and began operations in January 1995. With five employees and a 6000-sq. ft. building and little equipment, he began building the company and manufacturing small parts for his customers. Twenty-two years in the making now sees Northwoods with 200,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 75 employees. Jon’s son Brian is now the acting VP of Operations with 20 years of experience in the Fabricating business. They have evolved into a leader in the Aggregate and Mining business as well as Industrial Ovens, Conveyors, and Air Quality Equipment that their customers count on.
